Nuckols’ 3 lifts Lincoln boys over Boyle

Blade Nuckols hit a 3-point shot with 1 second remaining Friday night to give the Lincoln County boys a 62-59 victory over Boyle County.
With the game tied at 59-all, Nuckols inbounded the ball on the far baseline, got the ball back in the backcourt and dribbled down the right side of the floor before launching the winning shot.
Nuckols scored a game-high 22 points to lead visiting Lincoln (9-8, 2-1 45th District) to its fifth win in its last six games.
Boyle (5-11, 0-2) led 57-56 in the fourth quarter before Seth Horton gave the Patriots a two-point lead with 32 seconds left when he converted a three-point play after an offensive rebound. The Rebels tied the game on a layup by Montavin Quisenberry at :15.
Cash Baird scored 13 points and Seth Horton added 11 for Lincoln, which has won five of its last six games against Boyle.
Demauriah Brown scored 27 points and Quisenberry had 14 for Boyle.
