The Lincoln County School District announced Lezli Adams as its first graduate of the Bloomboard Rank Change program.
The Board partnered with Bloomboard to grow, advance and retain valuable educators for the school district at no cost to the staff participants as long as they fulfill a five year contract with Lincoln County Schools. This program uses a micro-credential based learning process that is self paced and integrated into classroom practice to help teachers advance their career in education.
Adams is a reading interventionist at Highland Elementary School and was one of over 50 staff members who began the program in January of 2023. She completed 18 micro credentials and her capstone project in the past year and has now earned her Rank 1.
“I am very appreciative for the district to offer a job embedded opportunity for me to gain my Rank 1,” Adams said. “This option allowed me to further my education in a way that fit my busy lifestyle and allowed me to dive deeper into the important area of literacy.”
Adams was recognized for her achievement at the Feb. 8 board meeting by Highland Elementary Principal Suzanne Montgomery.
Montgomery said at the meeting, “Mrs. Adams is a literacy leader in our district and has taught hundreds of students how to read in her career at school. She is also a long standing member of our SBDM Council and a leader amongst staff.”
