Stanford Police wrote 146 citations in April

April was a busy month for Stanford Police Officers, according to a monthly report given to Stanford City Council members last Thursday.
SPD Officers had 1,355 contacts through 911 in April and wrote 146 citations.
There were 66 warnings given and 15 arrests were made.
According to the report, there were 39 incidents/cases and officers responded to 12 accidents.
Officer James Mayfield, the Lincoln County Middle School Resource Officer, completed 40 hours of training for the Department of Criminal Justice Training SRO I.
So far this year, SPD has had 3,844 contacts through 911, written 380 citations, given 380 warnings and made 52 arrests. Officers have responded to 90 accidents since the beginning of the year.
The Stanford Fire Department responded to 82 incidents in April.
From April 1 through April 30, SFD responded to the following incidents:
- Explosion (no fire), other – 1
- medical assist, assist EMS crew – 11
- EMS call, excluding vehicle accident with injury – 28
- motor vehicle accident with no injuries – 1
- vehicle accident general clean up – 1
- service call, other – 1
- lock-out – 1
- assist police or other governmental agency – 1
- public service – 1
- assist invalid – 4
- unauthorized burning – 2
- dispatched & canceled en route – 6
- no incident found upon arrival – 3
- authorized controlled burning – 6
- smoke scare, odor of smoke – 1
- central station, malicious false alarm – 1
- special type of incident, other – 12
Stanford Code Enforcement reported 52 violations in the month of April, according to the monthly report.
There were 22 verbal warnings given and one citation was written.
Code Enforcement issued three building permits, two sign permits and two certificates of occupancy.
There were 70 licenses issued or renewed in March.
