Johnnie Lou Todd Adams, 84, of Crab Orchard,Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 as she was surrounded by her loving family in the home of her daughter, Paula Ledford. Born January 21, 1940 in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late Ada and Merlie Shelton Todd. She was a member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church and attended as long as she was able.
Johnnie Lou loved the community of Crab Orchard. She was a charter member of the East End Ambulance Service. She was elected Mayor of Crab Orchard and served one term before later being elected again as a City Commissioner. She had previously served as the police and water department commissioner. She was former treasurer of the Crab Orchard July 4th Celebration Committee. She was honored as a Kentucky Colonel. She was an avid reader. She loved shopping and spoiling Cooper along with the rest of her grandchildren. She took great pride in hosting “Mamaw’s Christmas.” She loved and adored her family and enjoyed giving gifts.
She was preceded in death by her ex husband, Jimmy Adams; Father, Ada Todd; Mother, Merlie Shelton Todd; Great Grandson, Aaron Scott Berry; Great Granddaughter, Isabella Berry;
Three Sisters, Pauline Todd, Wallace Duncan, & Mae Foley
Brothers, Bob Todd & Gary Todd

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel located at 147 Main Street, Crab Orchard, Kentucky
Bro. Caleb Davis and Bro. Dan Gutenson will officiate
Place of Burial: Crab Orchard Cemetery
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 PM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at McKnight Funeral Home
Pallbearers Include: David Ledford, Jamie Wells, Max Adams, Jonathan Adams, Cooper Wells, Landon Ledford, Carter Tillett
Honorary Pallbearers will be the remaining grandchildren.
