The Lincoln County team of Jordan Hall and Chris Shelton captured a state championship in the unified division at the KHSAA State Bowling Championships.
Hall and Shelton secured the title with a 201-167 victory over Elizabethtown in the championship match. The duo entered the 16-team championship bracket as the No. 5 seed, averaging 335 over two games in qualifying. They then defeated teams from Pendleton County, Great Crossing, and Henry Clay to advance to the finals.
Hall, a senior, had previously reached the quarterfinals of the unified division last year with a different partner. This year, he was paired with Shelton, a sophomore, and the two emerged as champions for Lincoln County.
