Elder Robert Coulter and congregation of Boneyville Baptist Church will be the 3 p.m. guests at the Cedar Ridge Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 9 on behalf of its annual homecoming and basket dinner. Rev. Gerald Robinson is the pastor.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Mr. Keith Martin, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Martin and the late Bobby Martin. He is also the brother of Mrs. Anita Martin Givens and brother-in-law of Mr. Kelvin Givens and sister Ms. Deidre Martin. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Nebr Baptist Church in Richmond. Mr. Martin was 51.
Mr. and Mrs. Scot (Rose) Logan of Aurora, Colo., visited his family, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy (Brenda) Cofer and Ms. Sheila Benjamin.
Mr. Eric Givens of Louisville spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Sara Givens.
Elder and Mrs. Robert Couler, Jr., and family, Mrs. Patricia Suter and Mr. and Mrs. David Caldwell spent the weekend in Fort Wayne, Ind., visiting with Dr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Suter and Lavante Suter.
Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Hocker, Miss Sherrill Hocker and daughter, Sariah Mitchell along with Miss D’Nai Givens and several other friends spent the weekend camping at the Green River Lake Resort Park.
In honor of the late Michael Smith of Danville, a park has been named “The Michael M. Smith Memorial Park”. Michael, the director of the Smith-Jackson Funeral Home passed in 2017. Michael served Lincoln County in many ways and he is deserving of this honor.
