The combined choirs of the Stanford Christian Church, the Stanford Presbyterian Church and the New Beginnings United Methodist Church presented “The Glory of Christmas” cantata Sunday evening at the Stanford Christian Church.
The community choir, which was under the direction of Rev. Jerry Lester, included: sopranos – Janet Baird, Ashley Tackett-Evans, Bridgette Lester, Heidi Pence, Elizabeth Stone and Margaret Taylor; altos – Jan Burton, Martha Francis, Mary Beth Lair, Becky Oaks, Lydia Tiller and Sarah Wooldridge (soloist); basses – David Horseman, Ron Hunkins, Marvin Marshbanks, Daniel Pence and Karl Strand; and tenors – Shea Lair and Alfred Pence.
The choir was accompanied by pianist Tim McHarque, cellist Nancy McKenney and percussionist Dwane Wooldridge. Annie Correll served as page turner for McHarque.
Narrators for the program were Peter Langford and Ashley Tackett-Evans.
