Phyllis Harrison Camel, 68, of Danville, KY passed away at home on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in Danville, Born on March 4, 1953 in McKee, KY to the late Dewey and Nannie Harrison. She was a homemaker for most of her life.

She was a caring and loving person who was a mother to so many people. She was a strong woman, who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include three daughters, Nannie Rhodus (Daniel) of Lancaster, KY, Rhonda Roution of Danville, KY and Carol Camel of Stanford, KY; three sons, Dewey Camel of Stanford, KY, Ronnie Camel of Danville, KY and Wesley Camel of Stanford, KY; 16 grandchildren, Lisa, Eli, Tyler, Tasha, Logan, Cheyenne, Sierra, Brendyn, Faith, Ashton, Bryan, Trinity, Miya, Caleb, Leo and Sopia; five great-grandchildren; several brother, sisters, nieces and nephews; and the father of her children, her best friend and companion through life, Lucien Camel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Nannie Harrison; and several brothers and sisters.

A one-day service has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at a private family cemetery in Danville, KY.
