Hospitality since 1775 – still alive and well
I would like to express thanks to the citizens of Stanford for keeping this motto alive.
As a participating historical re-enactor at Fort Logan on May 20-22, 2022, this spirit of hospitality could be felt, still alive and well in Stanford.
The volunteers who worked to provide food, water, wood, transportation and other comforts for the siege certainly exemplified hospitality to all the people participating. I felt a Lincoln County spirit of hospitality from numerous people I knew and from many I had never seen before.
It was on my early Saturday morning walk that I saw your beautiful town up close. The walking trails, train depot, well-kept homes, streets and friendly strangers impressed me greatly with the town of Stanford.
Keep your great place in Kentucky history alive by supporting the work of Fort Logan. You have a great town and should be proud of it.
