The annual Forkland Festival at the Forkland Community Center last weekend was a huge success. Sunny skies and perfect temperatures drew hundreds to the rural community on Friday and Saturday.
Among many craft and food vendors, the festival featured a music stage, petting zoo, horse drawn carriage rides, a barrel train ride, and kids games. Saturday featured a classic car show along with a 4K run/walk.
Inside, people could bid in the silent auction on hand-made items and other things; kids could do crafts in the art room; and people could see the many historic artifacts and read about Forkland’s history, including the school.
The night featured a bean supper and old country supper theater, which has been a Forkland tradition since the first festival 51 years ago. Actors depicted the beginnings of the Forkland festival. See more photos of the festival at amnews.com
