Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill has Christmas events throughout December. Some details about remaining events this month are:

• Holiday Lunch at The Trustees’ Table – Dec. 1-23, weekdays 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., weekends 11:30 a.m.-1:30pm, $10-$32

Holiday Lunch at The Trustees’ Table is perfect for large or small groups looking to celebrate the season. You’ll enjoy a three-course meal of soup or salad, a choice of five different entrées and homemade desserts. Hot rolls and coleslaw will also be served.

• Candlelight Tours – Dec. 16, 17, Fridays 6 p.m., Saturdays 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., $10-$15

Take a guided stroll to trace the evolution of Christmas celebrations in Shaker communities every Friday and Saturday evenings in the lead up to Christmas. Our Candlelight Tours make the perfect addition to our Illuminated Evenings events on Saturdays in December.

• Illuminated Evenings – Saturday Dec. 17, 5-8 p.m.

Discover the holiday spirit during Shaker Village’s Illuminated Evenings events. Hop on the Jingle Bell Shuttle, write a letter to Santa, sip hot chocolate, enjoy music performances, make a craft in the Elf Shop and sing carols while we light up the tree. Admission is $5, but it will be waived if you bring donations of new gloves, hats, scarves and non-perishable food for the Shaker Village Giving Tree.

• Holiday Reed Stars Workshop – Saturday, Dec. 17, 10 a.m.-noon, $55-$65

Try your hand at weaving an intricate star pattern using reed, which can be replicated at home in a variety of sizes and materials. All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary.

Shaker Village will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25 in observance of the holiday.
