Man found dead in Cedar Creek Lake

CRAB ORCHARD – A man was found dead in the waters of Cedar Creek Lake Thursday, according to Lincoln County officials.
Emergency services were dispatched to the Hwy. 1770 area of Cedar Creek Lake at about 12:26 p.m. for reports of a male going into the water, according to Emergency Management Director Ashley Powell.
Powell said rescue operations turned into a recovery.
“At 5:19 p.m., a 21-year-old male was recovered and has been identified as Corey Denson, of Richmond, formerly of Lincoln County,” Powell said.
Denson was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:25 p.m. by Lincoln County Coroner Farris Marcum.
Agencies that assisted the Coroner on scene were Lincoln County Emergency Management, Lincoln County EMS, Lincoln County Fire Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, Lincoln County Constable, Stanford Police Department, Stanford Fire Department, Crab Orchard Police, Kentucky State Police, Kentucky Fish & Wildlife, and Boyle County Fire Department.
