Lincoln XC to compete in region Saturday

The Lincoln County High School cross country teams will be making tracks south to Monticello this Saturday as they prepare to participate in regionals.
Lincoln, which has been in Class 3A, Region 7 for years, is in a new class and region this time around, with the Lady Patriot and Patriot teams now aligned with teams in Class 2A, Region 5.
There is only one familiar team (East Jessamine) other than Lincoln in the new alignment of 14 teams. The current alignment includes: Bell County, Boyle County, Casey County, Clay County, Corbin, East Jessamine, Garrard County, Knox Central, Lincoln County, McCreary Central, Mercer County, Rockcastle County, Russell County and Wayne County.
The Lady Patriot cross country team will be the first of the local teams to compete, with first call at 2:15 p.m., final call at 2:25 and a start time set for 2:30 p.m.
The first call for the Patriot runners will go up at 3 p.m., with the final call at 3:10 and the start at 3:15 p.m.
