The 54th annual Ewell and Ella Saylor Hopkins reunion was held Saturday, Sept. 1 at the William Whitley House near Crab Orchard. Ella Saylor Hopkins died in 1960 and after Ewell’s death in 1965, their children determined to get together once a year for a reunion in remembrance of their parents. There were 64 guests in attendance this year. After the blessing was given by Daniel Hopkins, everyone enjoyed a large potluck dinner and some great fellowship.
